Job Description

The Project Superintendent needs to utilize the resources at his/her disposal to the fullest extent possible to accomplish assigned projects in a safe manner, with high quality standards, while maintaining efficiency and financial profitability. It is recognized that this position is key as a front line position to the Company’s overall success and reputation with our Customers and Employees.

Responsibilities:

·          Oversee all construction activities at the project site.
·          This position should be consistently looking at least one week in advance for planning and jobsite
           coordination.
·          Participate in the Project Turnover Meetings, Superintendent Meetings, Management Meetings, Jobsite
           Coordination Meetings, Weekly Production Review Meetings, and Post Project Meetings.
·          Accountable for total project costs with specific attention to job costs, quality, safety, and production in
           regards to the estimate.
·          Responsible for submitting all invoices with cost codes directing cost allocation.
·          Required to keep extra work orders (EWA’S) approved and current.
·          Approve accurate time and production entries in PayCrew system for entire crew.
·          Responsible for consistent oversight and enforcement of Employee violations using PayCrew entry
           system.
·          Record important project related notations in PayCrew system.
·          Maintain an active role in Employee evaluations, training, hiring, and firing.
·          Work closely with Skill Level 4 to train for your replacement when the opportunity for advancement
           occurs.
·          Communicate issues relating to required adjustments to estimating based on actual field experiences.
·          Encouraged to find new means and methods to provide continual improvement in production and cost
           savings.
·          Must maintain valid driver’s license and be insurable on Company policy.
·          Use the project budgets to keep costs in line, explain variances. Help develop the plan, and then follow
           the plan.
·          Meet commitments made to the customers.
·          Responsible for allocation of manpower and equipment needs.
·          With the Foreman, conduct Toolbox Meeting, attend OSHA 10 OR 30 hour course as required every other
           year.
·          Complete all Company training programs, (Blueprint, Forklift, Skid steer, First Aid/CPR, Safety policies,
           and Foreman training) with a passing grade.
·          Continually work to improve; quality, good relationships, and Company image, both internally and with
           Customers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
·          Conduct weekly safety inspections on projects under your supervision
·          Develop GSA/JSA/AHA
·          Actively enforce all safety policies of Somero, LLC

Job Description

The Project Foreman needs to utilize the resources at his/her disposal to the fullest extent possible to accomplish assigned projects in a safe manner, with high quality standards, while maintaining efficiency. This position will have direct control of job site productivity.

Responsibilities:

 

·          Direct manpower, equipment, and materials at the project site. This position should be constantly
           looking at least 3 days in advance for planning and jobsite coordination.
·          Participate in the Project Turnover Meetings, Weekly Production Review Meetings, and Post Project
           Meetings.
·          Pay specific attention to job production, rate goals and coordinate with Production Manager.
·          Completes filling out all EWA’s and Change Orders with allocation of time in PayCrew system.
·          Responsible for recording accurate time and production entries for entire crew in PayCrew system.
·          Responsible for consistent entry of Employee violations, using PayCrew entry system.
·          Maintaining an active role in Employee training and evaluations, and keeps the production manager
           updated on Employee’s skill levels and performance.
·          Record important project related notations in PayCrew entry system on the daily job sheet.
·          Must input all equipment needed into PayCrew system before use.
·          Coordinate with supplier’s deliveries and the Project Manager to stay within project schedule.
·          Participates in Project Turnover Meeting.
·          Responsible for crew truck cleanliness and equipment maintenance (daily) and proper tool inventory
           (monthly).
·          Must maintain valid driver’s license and be insurable on Company policy.
.          Work closely with Skill Level 3 to train for your replacement when the opportunity of advancement occurs.
·          Help Superintendent conduct Toolbox Meetings when he/she is unable to; attend OSHA 10 or 30 hour
           courses as required every other year.
·          Complete all Company training programs (Blueprint, Forklift, Skid steer, First Aid/CPR, Safety policies, &
           Foreman’s training program) with a passing grade.
·          Be prepared to assume the duties of the Superintendent during his/her absence.
·          Encouraged to find new means and methods to provide continual improvement in production.
·          Continually work to improve; quality, good relationships, and Company’s image, both internally and with
           Customers, Subcontractors, and Suppliers.
·          Review JSA/GSA/AHA with crews
·          Actively enforce all safety policies of Somero, LLC
·          Participate in all accident/incident/near missed investigations
·          Conduct head count during project evacuations
·          Complete and sign all necessary safety permits

·          May be required to get a CDL
·          Know how to perform construction math (figure concrete, gravel, etc.)
·          Must take an active role in controlling waste and equipment abuse
·          Must actively train and work with Skill Level 2B and/or lower Employees
·          Perform daily afternoon inspections on equipment
·          Participate in all required safety training.
·          Participate in all safety meetings.
·          Follow all Company safety policies.
·          Report any unsafe conditions to your immediate Supervisor

At this skill level the Employee must know how to correctly;

·         Operate all walk behind power trowels.

.         Operate all riding power trowels (Float machine, #2, and #3)

·          Layout saw cuts for slabs and paving.
·          Must be able to problem solve
·          Must have an eye for quality
·          Must understand different concrete mixes (air entrained, non-chloride accelerators, etc.).
·          May be required to get a CDL
·          Must have a complete set of finishing hand tools.
·          Know how to perform construction math (figure concrete, gravel, etc.)
·          Must take an active role in controlling waste and equipment abuse
·          Must actively train and work with skill level 2B and/or lower Employees
·          Perform preventive maintenance inspections on equipment daily
·          Participate in all required safety training.
·          Participate in all safety meetings.
·          Follow all Company safety policies.
·          Report any unsafe conditions to your immediate Supervisor
